Into the wayback machine: Back in March on Show 49, with A Play On Nerds, we discussed the weird interplay with letters to Iran and how the GOP was playing a dangerous game of chicken with the State Department. China has leaped into science fiction land in a couple ways this week.
1. The Chinese government launched Wukong (translates to Monkey King) which is way catchier than the official dark Matter Particle Explorer, or DAMPE. Wukong will use its large surface area to observe high volumes of cosmic rays, as well as where they come from. The GOP had their 5th debate on CNN. It was largely identical to the previous 4 but with less people in the clown car. I watched it for you, and really, genuinely, they want a holy war with radical islam, but they don’t know what that actually is and will go to war with any country in the middle east, especially if it has oil and citizens wearing ethnic attire. And finally, There is a feud going on at the Democratic National Committee (DNC). The chair, Debbie Wasserman Schultz, has not had much to say in regards to Bernie Sanders, and in many cases has evaded the set up to at least compliment his achievements this race.
