Obama effectively neutered the Hobby Lobby ruling and ensured that all women, even those employed by ‘religious corporations,’ will have access to birth control covered at no cost to them; even if their evangelical employers object and refuse to provide it. “Under the new rule, a closely held for-profit company that objects to covering contraception in its health plan can write a letter to the Department of Health and Human Services stating its objection. HHS will then notify a third-party insurer of the company's objection, and the insurer will provide birth control coverage to the company's female employees at no additional cost to the company.”

Candace Petterson said she started attending the Greater Mount Moriah Primitive Baptist Church about six months ago after moving to a new home in the Tampa area, but she received a troubling letter last week from the church, a delinquency notice asking her to contribute $50 a month, along with other assorted fees, to remain a member in good standing and vote on church matters. The letter, from assistant administrator Ladreda Spencer and Pastor B.R.
