1. The House is divided. Kevin McCarthy withdrew himself from the Speaker roll before the vote could take place. Now there is no clear person for the seat. The best choice, would be Paul Ryan, but he has seen the writing on the wall and declined nomination. Now the “Republican Freedom Caucus” is making rumblings of shutting down the government in November unless they get their way in a bid to defund medicare and Social Security.

Due to some crazy echo issues last week, many of the listeners had slightly less patience than we did and stopped listening before we switched to an alternate microphone.  It doesn’t sound as good but it doesn’t have that horrible echo. Persevere until 7m30s and you will have an alright time. Sorry about that.

Also, there seems to be something wrong with the Patreon page, that lovely site that helps independent media creators like us take donations to fund these little endeavors. I will be working on getting that repaired. If you are desperate to help out the show, word of mouth and positive reviews on iTunes, Spreaker, Stitcher and Likes on YouTube are the best way.
