On Show 19, August 15th 2014, We mentioned and had quite a discussion on how some Police Agencies will not hire applicants whose mental capabilities, their IQ, is too high. This seemed a bit dubious at the time as being completely counter intuitive, given they were trying to claim it was to maintain job satisfaction levels and other such things. 1. The House is divided. Kevin McCarthy withdrew himself from the Speaker roll before the vote could take place. Now there is no clear person for the seat. The best choice, would be Paul Ryan, but he has seen the writing on the wall and declined nomination. Now the “Republican Freedom Caucus” is making rumblings of shutting down the government in November unless they get their way in a bid to defund medicare and Social Security.
